Since 1975, the Royal Museum of Mariemont presents rich collections gathered by its founder Raoul Waroqué.
Mariemont is among others: an 45 hectares English style park, the ruins of the palace of Charles de Lorraine; the Bourgeois of Calais, of Rodin; the world's finest Tournai porcelain collection ; hundreds of works from Egypt, Greece and Rome such as the monumental statue of Cleopatra (5 tons), frescos from the villa of Boscoréale (Pompeii) or the Arès Somzée; the most complete collection of Chinese antiquities in Belgium; a tea pavilion, numerous collections from Japan, Korea, Vietnam; archaeological and historical collections, manuscripts and autographs, thousands of precious books and many other treasures...
Open daily except on Mondays that are not public holidays. Closed on 1 January and 25 December.
Park open daily at 8 am from April to September, at 10 am from October to March. Closed at 5 pm from November to March, at 6 pm fro April to October (7 pm on Sundays and public holidays from May to August).
Guided visits on request for groups of maximum 20 persons.
Duration of the visit: 1 to 2 h.
