The International Carnival and Mask Museum is an original and unique place in Europe. In this museum you will discover masks and disguises from all over the world.
Enter the fascinating universe of the mask. Travel through the world of winter feasts and carnivals. Discover the ritual functions of the mask in the five continents and the masked festivities in the country. Get to know the big European city carnivals, the carnivals of Wallonia and the famous carnival of Binche. Enjoy the carnival of Binche, as if you were there, by means of an audiovisual show on big screen.
The section "Masks Around the World" gives an overview of the most representative and characteristic pieces from Africa, Asia, Oceania and presents the museum's fifty most beautiful pieces. From 10 February, the major pieces of the four other continents are exhibited.
Closed on Monday, Ash Wednesday, 1 November and from 24 December until 2 January included.
Ticketing office open until 4.30 pm.
Guided tours by reservation: in French, Dutch, English, German, Italian and Spanish (according to availability).

Free access every first Sunday of the month for all audiences including schools of the French Community.

Activities (reservation required): with the support of the DGAC (Directorate-General for Cultural Affairs).
Creative workshops and readings for children.
Breakfasts or snacks possible (reservation required).
Birthday parties are organised in the auditorium or the cafeteria.
